Berénize was born from a journey. During a stay in Thailand, among the waves of the sea and the architecture of temples, the idea emerged of leaving something of oneself in the world — not just for oneself, but to be worn, lived, carried by other people. Like the great fashion houses that made history, Berénize was born from the desire to create something that lasts over time.

The lines, shapes, and colors of that journey inspired the first designs. Each Berénize collection takes its name from a continent that inspired the style of its models; each bag carries a proper feminine name, typical of the places that inspired it.

Berénize bags are handmade entirely by a small artisan leather workshop in Milan, which also works for major international fashion houses. The leathers are selected from top-level tanneries, the same ones used by major fashion houses. Every accessory — from clasps to logo details — is handcrafted specifically for each model. For a bag not available in stock, production takes about two months.

Berénize is headquartered in Mendrisio, Switzerland: a union between the tradition of Italian leather craftsmanship and the reliability of a Swiss company.
